Mission
A natural reserve with national status is a powerful instrument for protecting both the richest and the most threatened environments for the biodiversity of our country. The National Parks (Vanoise, Ecrins, Port-Cros, etc) follow this same mission.
The other two objectives of the natural reserve, scientific research and tourism, fulfill this purpose, but have less priority: they cannot conflict with the preservation of the spaces and species for which the Natural Reserve was founded.
